Anthony "Tony" Bender, a cherished husband, father, son, and brother passed away on November 2, 2024, at his home in Jacobson, MN with his loving family by his side. Born on April 10, 1970, in St. Paul, MN, Tony was the beloved son of Larry and Vicky Bender.

Tony's journey through life was one filled with dedication and passion. Following his graduation from White Bear Lake High School in 1988, he pursued a career as an automotive master technician, showcasing his skills at Friendly Chevrolet and First Student Bus Co. Throughout his life's adventures, he found his true love in Alison "Aly" Stevens, whom he married in a beautiful oceanside ceremony in Jamaica in February of 2009.

Shortly after their wedding, the newlyweds made the decision to relocate from Mounds View to northern Minnesota, first in Brainerd, then later Pequot Lakes, Swatara, and finally, Jacobson.

In 2012, Tony began working at BNSF railway as a track laborer, a job he truly loved and enjoyed. His job also afforded them the privilege to allow Aly to stay home to raise their sons after their births in 2015 and 2017.

Tony's joys in life were simple. Whether he was out shooting, fishing, engaging in friendly competition at the bowling alley, or at home making his boys laugh until they cried,  he embraced each moment with enthusiasm and humor. Family camping trips also held a special place in his heart, treasuring the moments spent on the water and under the stars with those he held dear.

In remembrance of Tony's life, his family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, any memorials be made in care of Alison Bender for their young sons. The family will notify friends and loved ones about future plans for a celebration of Tony's life.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents.

Tony is survived by his loving wife Alison "Aly" Bender, beloved sons: Ryan and Nathan Bender; parents: Larry and Vicky Bender; sister Nicole (Lawrence) Means; maternal grandmother: Ardis Lehman; special uncle Kenny, and several other aunts, uncles, and other family members.
