Barbara Lynn (Stangel) Johnson, age 70, of Grand Rapids, MN passed away Friday, September 22, 2023 at Grand Itasca Hospital, Grand Rapids, MN.

Barb was born in 1953 in Cleveland, OH to William and Barbara Stangel.  She graduated from Roosevelt High School in Minneapolis, MN.  Barb later attended Itasca Community College in Grand Rapids, MN.  She worked as a waitress in Grand Rapids, MN for various restaurants in the area.  Barb was a mom to many and enjoyed camping, fishing, sewing, and cross stitching.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Steve.

Barb is survived by two daughters, Meisha (Mark Meyers) Dotlich of River Falls, WI and Jessica (Andy Dzuricky) Wiskow of River Falls, WI; five sons, William (Kasey) McMurdo of Roseville, MN, Robert McMurdo of River Falls, WI, Christopher Johnson of Grand Rapids, MN, Nathan Johnson of Carlton, MN, and Rory (Anna Anttila) Wiskow of Grand Rapids, MN; one sister, Tracy Burkhardt of Grand Rapids, MN; one brother, Jerry Stangel of Nashville, TN; best friend and sister-in-life, Diane Bonham of Grand Rapids, MN; many grandchildren and a great grandchild.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 28, 2023 beginning at 10:00 AM with a time of sharing memories of Barb at 11:00 AM at Rowe Funeral Home, Grand Rapids, MN.  Burial will be in Hazelwood Cemetery, Blackberry, MN.
