Bessie B. Braeden, age 90, of Hill City, MN passed away at Grand Village, Grand Rapids, MN.

Bessie was born in 1935 to Frank and Marie Benes in Spang Township near Hill City, MN.  She attended school in Spang Township and Grand Rapids, MN.  Bess moved to Minneapolis, MN where she was employed with Honeywell for 35 years.  She was united in marriage to Robert "Bob" Braeden.  Bess and Bob traveled the world extensively.  She enjoyed quilting, flower gardening, keeping her bird feeder clean, was meticulous at maintaining her property and mowing her lawn, and was always willing to lend a helping hand.  Bess loved visiting and was the glue that held the family together.  She was also a long-standing member of the Spang Sunshine Club.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert "Bob"; and 9 sisters and brothers.

Bess is survived by her sister, Vicky Howard of Hill City, MN.  She was auntie to many but like a mother to most.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2026, beginning at 10:00 AM at Rowe Funeral Home, Grand Rapids, MN with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.  Rev. Lonnie Lee will officiate.  Burial will be in Hill Lake Cemetery, Hill City, MN. A luncheon will follow at the Spang Township Hall.
