Beulah McMahon, age 88 of Warba passed away at home Friday, December 6, 2024.
Beulah was born July 9, 1936 in Ball Club, MN to Harry and Estella Cheney. She was 1 out of 14 Cheney children. She graduated from Deer River High School in 1955. In 1956, she married William Becker. Together they raised 5 children until his death in 1993. She worked for L & M supply for 19 years retiring in 1997. She loved sewing, crocheting, gardening and cooking for her family. She loved her 4 daughters, her son, 10 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren as well as her many friends and God who is with her now. In 2000, she married Jim McMahon. They loved fishing, gardening, hunting and spending time with family. They were members of Bethel Lutheran church in Warba. They did volunteer work and she was a member of ELCA. Jim went to be with God in June of 2023. She is proceeded in death by her parents and brothers: Robert, Oliver, Fred, Stanley, Phillip, Harry Jr., Jay and Ted Cheney. Sisters: Virginia, Margaret, Bonnie and Step daughter, Christine.
She is survived by daughters, Karen Olson (Bryan) of Grand Rapids, Peggy Sutherland (Tom) of Pengilly, Connie Reilly (Mike) of Braham, Susan Larsen of Buhl. Son, William Becker (Terri) of Hill City. Step children: Patty Wicklander (Guy) of St. Paul, Colleen Corcoran (Greg) of Forest Lake, Peggy McMahon of Hector, Elaine McMahon of St. Paul, Michelle Hansen (Dan) of Hudson WI, Muriel Adams (Keith) of St. Paul, Frank McMahon (Ann) of Isle. Sisters, Jan Riendeau of Grand Rapids and Marlon Gibeau . 10 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren, 18 Step Grandchildren, 26 Step Great Grandchildren, 3 Step Great Great Grandchildren.
Visitation will be Monday, January 6, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Bethel Lutheran Church in Warba, MN followed by an 11:00 AM Memorial Service. Pastors Mark and Brenda Wagner will officiate the funeral service. Interment will be at Warba Cemetery at a later date.
