Beverly Annette Hawkinson, age 85, of Apache Junction, Arizona, passed away peacefully at the Episcopal Church Home in St. Paul, MN on June 13, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Beverly was born in Grand Rapids, Minnesota on Nov 17, 1940, and grew up in Kelly Lake, MN. She graduated from Hibbing High School in 1958. Bev moved to Omaha and worked at The Boys Town Foundation for 2 years as a secretary. She then moved to California where she met her first husband Richard Whisler.  They married in Oct 1968 and moved to Minnesota shortly after. They moved to Florida where they lived about 7 years before returning to Minnesota. When back in MN Beverly and Richard accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior and became active members in the Assembly God Church in Shakopee, MN. With Richard having some health issues they decided to move to a warmer climate and settled in Mesa, AZ until Richard's death in 2004. Beverly worked in data entry jobs while in Arizona. Beverly met Willard (Bill) Hawkinson in 2006 at the AJ Assembly of God Church when Bill was there visiting.  They came back to MN so Bill could sell his home and see family before returning to live in AZ. They were married in August at the Chisholm Assembly of God Church and returned to AZ where they purchased a home in Apache Junction.  They became active members at the AJ Assembly of God Church where they developed many friendships. They enjoyed singing together at nursing homes, churches and jams. Beverly also loved playing games with friends, traveling and reading. When Bill and Bev's health began to fail, they returned to Minnesota and lived with Bill's son and daughter-in-law, Vern and Cindy Hawkinson. After Bill's passing in 2025, Beverly moved down to West St. Paul where she would be closer to her sister Shirley and Ed Carlson.

Beverly is survived by her brother Ron (Rita) Leppanen of Knoxville, TN; sister Shirley (Edward) Carlson of St. Paul, MN; stepdaughters Terrie (Frank) Johnson of Kansas and Julia (Lynn) Rockwell of Manitowoc, WI; stepsons Leonard Hawkinson of Kelly Lake, MN, Vernard (Cindy) Hawkinson of Warba, MN; stepdaughter's Cheryl Hawkinson of Fall Creek, WI and Charlene Lokken of Hibbing, MN. 6 Nephews and 1 niece.

Preceded her in death were her parents Elmer and Jennie Leppanen. Husband Richard H. Whisler and Husband Willard (Bill) Hawkinson.

A Celebration of Life Service for Beverly Hawkinson will be on June 27, 2026, at the Chisholm Assembly of God in Chisholm, MN at 12:00 pm with a luncheon following.
