Obituary

Beverly Gayle Riedel, age 87, of Cohasset, MN passed away Friday, March 15, 2024, at Autumn Lane Assisted Living.

Beverly was born in 1937 in Coleraine, MN to Sylvia and Andrew Hagen. She graduated from Greenway High School.

She was a loving and devoted mother to 7 children and 2 stepchildren, in addition to being a wonderful grandmother and great grandmother. Her love was a hug and if you knew her, you loved her, and she loved you. She cared for everyone with her kindness and always had time to lend a hand, encourage or be there for you. She would attend important events for family and friends. Her hugs will be felt a lifetime as she touched so many people and her love will last forever.

As a wonderful artist, she would often paint watercolor pictures for family and friends of important moments or people in their lives, in addition to her art being displayed at art shows. These pictures will be forever cherished. Beverly found great joy in her career as an interior designer at Dayton's Southdale Home Store in Edina. She cared about her customers and co-workers and earned Salesperson of the Year Award.

Preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Sylvia Hagen; son, John Medved; grandson, Ryan Bastle; brother, Andrew Hagen; sister-in-law, Sharon Hagen.

She is survived by her husband, Donald Riedel; children, Peter Medved (Patsy), Barbara Lukens, Margaret Crews (Stephen), Joseph Medved, Mary Adkins (Tim), Sarah Riedel; stepsons, Donavan Pieterse, Shawn Pieterse (Sherri), 18 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; brother, James Hagen (Carol); sister-in-law, Judy Zobel.
