Robert G. Pellersels age 73, of Deer River, MN passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2024, Essentia Health – St. Marys Medical Center in Duluth, MN.

Robert Gail was born June 25, 1950, in Deer River, MN to Gail Morris and Faye Ione (Hoopman) Pellersels.  Bob graduated with the Class of 1968 from Grand Rapids High School and went on to earn an Associate of Arts Degree from Hibbing Vocational Institute.  Bob began his career with Boise Cascade in International Fall, MN. He returned home to accept a position building furnaces for Combo Furnace in Grand Rapids, MN.  Bob finished his career as a saw operator for Nelson Wood Shims, retiring after many years of service.

Bob enjoyed everything the outdoors had to offer.  He especially enjoyed hunting and fishing, and 4-wheeling.  He was a member of the White Oak Tractor Club of Deer River, MN, and had formerly served as a council member for the City of Zemple, MN.

Bob is survived by his children Gale Pellersels of Deer River, MN, and Michael (Rachel) Pellersels of Castle Rock, CO; grandchildren Ralph, and Kaylynn; stepson Alex; brother Art (Judy) Pellersels of Cohasset, MN; former wife Nancy Freeman of Duluth, MN.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Bert; sister Dorothy.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 2:00 to 5:00 pm on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at the Deer River Bible Church, Deer River, MN. Interment in the family plot will be at Wildwood Cemetery, Cohasset, MN.
