Robert Louis Pinette, age 68 of Grand Rapids, Minnesota, passed away Thursday, June 13, 2024, at Hilltop Healthcare in Duluth, Minnesota.

Robert "Bob" was born May 3, 1956, in Grand Rapids, Minnesota to Allen and Elizabeth (Billock) Pinette.  Bob graduated with the Class of 1974 from Grand Rapids High School. He went on to complete the Pulp and Paper curriculum at Itaca Community College.  In 1975 Bob began a long career with Blandin Paper Company in Grand Rapids.  On June 17, 1977, Bob was united in marriage to Susan LaPlant at the Itasca County Courthouse in Grand Rapids.  He retired from Blandin Paper Company in 2012 after 37 years of service.  In his retirement Bob enjoyed woodworking and bow hunting.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother and two sisters; father-in-law Lawrence LaPlant; brothers-in-law Jim LaPlant, and Pat Selmser.

Bob is survived by his wife Sue of 46 years; son Brandon (Jennifer) of Phoenix, AZ; mother-in-law Eunice LaPlant of Cohasset, MN; sisters-in-law Linda Bruce of Grand Rapids, MN, Pam Selmser of Grand Rapids, MN; brother-in-law Gary (Tammie) LaPlant of Richland, WA; nieces and nephews, cousins and other extended family members and friends.

A Celebration of Life is being planned for early fall of 2024.  Details will be announced at that time.
