Obituary

Brian Jeffrey Crowe, age 50, of Grand Rapids, MN passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at his home.

Brian was born in 1974 to Daniel and Virginia "Gin" Crowe in Grand Rapids, MN. He graduated from Greenway High School in 1992 and later attended Lake Superior College where he earned an associate's degree in architecture.  On August 18, 2007, he was united in marriage to Katherine Fuglie in Grand Rapids, MN.  Together they started a new chapter in life where they created a warm welcoming home filled with love and laughter with Brian's daughter, Mishale and their son, Tyler.  Brian was employed with Pepsi for 26 years where he worked in multiple capacities.  He found joy in the simple moments in life, whether it was camping with his family, visiting around the campfire, or sitting on his porch at home while listening to music.  In his spare time, he enjoyed bowling, softball, four wheeling, snowmobiling, going to different breweries especially Klockow Brewery in Grand Rapids, and most recently curling.  Brian was hooked on curling since the first time he fell coming out of the hack.  He loved curling so much he introduced his son, Tyler, and niece, Beth to the sport.  Brian and Tyler spent many hours at Itasca Curling Club assisting with the ice crew, bonspiels, and countless other club needs. Brian was active with the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Grand Rapids where he served as a third generation President and as a Trustee.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, James and Ruth Crowe; maternal grandparents, Ralph and Edith Sutherland; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Beverly and Richard Fuglie; and brother-in-law, Duane "Scooter" Childs, Jr.

Brian is survived by his wife, Katherine; daughter, Mishale Crowe of Calumet, MN; son, Tyler Crowe of Grand Rapids, MN; his parents, Dan and Virginia "Gin" Crowe of Grand Rapids, MN; two sisters, Erin (Jason) Valley of Hill City, MN; Leann Birt of Bemidji, MN; mother-in-law, Ardelle Mickelson; sister-in-law, Amy Childs of Hill City, MN; brother-in-law, Matthias (Christine) Tanch of Ergersheim, Germany; his nieces, Paige Valley, Olivia and Danica Birt, Beth Childs, Verena Tanch; nephews, Justin (Rosie) Childs and Alexander Tanch; one great niece, Everest Ruff; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
