Carl Louis Asplint passed away at Emeralds Assisted Living on October 14, 2026, at 8:05 a.m. with his family at his side.

Carl was born on April 4, 1931, and raised in New Jersey. He worked at Campbell Soup as a millwright. In 1976, he left Campbell Soup to pursue his career in millwrighting. That same year, he moved his family to Minnesota and continued millwrighting until he retired.

He married the love of his life, Marie Packer, on St. Patrick’s Day in 1951. He had a wonderful life with his bride, and together they raised four children (three girls & a boy). He was a wonderful father and husband.

He is survived by: Daughter Karen (Asplint) Hakkila and son-in-law Dave Hakkila. Daughter Trudy (Asplint) Shoemaker and son-in-law Jeff Shoemaker. Daughter Darleene (Asplint) Sansburn and son-in-law Jerry Sansburn (deceased). Six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, eighteen great-great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-great-grandchildren.

He will be greatly missed by all.

Services will be held Saturday, October 24, at Bethel Lutheran Church in Warba, MN, at 2PM.
