Cary J. LaFond Sr.

Cary J. LaFond Sr, age 85 of Wyoming, MN, died Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at Fairview Southdale, Edina, MN, surrounded by family.

Cary was born in 1940 to Lawrence and Evelyn LaFond in Duluth, MN. He was united in marriage to Linda Gunderson on July 6, 1963, at Annunciation Catholic Church in Minneapolis, MN.

Preceding him in death were his parents and wife, Linda.

Cary is survived by his children, Cary Jr. (Penelope) of Lewiston, ID, Catherine Lynn (John) Hanley of East Bethel, MN and Sharon Lynn LaFond of Williams, AZ; grandchildren, Tabatha (Jeff), Ramsey (Kelsey), Erica (Bryan), Dustin (Ashley); and 12 great grandchildren.

Visitation with the family will be on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 10:00am at Rowe Funeral Home, Grand Rapids, MN followed by the 11:00am memorial service. Burial will be in Itasca-Calvary Cemetery, Grand Rapids, MN.
