Catherine Josie Feakes, age 101, of Lawrence Lake, Bovey, MN passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at Essentia Health- Virginia, MN.

Catherine was born in 1925 to Henry and Tillie Rudlang in Pequot Lakes, MN where she grew up and attended school. On March 10, 1945, she was united in marriage to Bruce Feakes in Pine River, MN.  Catherine and Bruce made their home in the Lawrence Lake area near Bovey, MN. Catherine was a cook for the Itasca County Nursing Home in Grand Rapids, MN for over 20 years prior to her retirement.

She loved to volunteer with many different organizations and clubs in which she received awards due to her excellent service to them.  She lived for her family.  Always ready to help anyone who needs it. She had a kind and generous heart. Catherine was a child of God and He will be glad to have her back.  We will all miss her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Tillie Rudlang; husband, Bruce; three brothers, Ken, Harold "Sonny", and Richard "Dick" Rudlang; two sisters, Clarice Tulenchick and Carol Kalish.

Catherine is survived by two daughters, Bonnie (Fred) Krenke of Comanche, TX, and Cheryl Schue of Hibbing, MN; one son, Jerry Feakes of Cook, MN; 7 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026, beginning at 10:00 AM at Bethel-Trinity Lutheran Church, Bovey, MN with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM at the church. Pastor Susan VanNorman will officiate.  Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Coleraine, MN.
