Connie R. Carsrud, age 81, of Grand Rapids, MN passed away Sunday, September 14, 2025 at The Pillars Assisted Living, Grand Rapids, MN.

Connie was born in 1944 to Willard and Anna Swensen in Hurley, SD.  She graduated from high school in Irene, SD.  On August 18, 1962, she was united in marriage to Darrell Carsrud in Viborg, SD.  They made their home in Yankton, SD and then Worthington, MN.  In 1979, Connie and Darrell moved to the Spider Lake Area where they owned and operated Spider Lake Resort.  Connie was a member of Suomi Lutheran Church and she loved doing puzzles.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Darrell; two sisters, Barbara Buckstead and Maryann Swensen.

Connie is survived by her daughter, Lori (Douglas) Kush of Osceola, WI; her son, Dean (Lisa) Carsrud of Grand Rapids, MN; two sisters, Carol Bak of Irene, SD, and DeAnna Swensen of Coos Bay, OR; one brother, Terry Swensen of Lake Havasu, AZ; four grandchildren, Amber (Tyler) Kush, Heather (Jordan) Broderick, Justine Carsrud, and Morgan Carsrud; four great grandchildren, Kolbie Broderick, Carson Broderick, Freddie Freese, and Clay Freese; and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2025, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Rowe Funeral Home in Grand Rapids, MN, with a graveside service to follow at Suomi Lutheran Cemetery, Suomi, MN.  Rev. Vicki Taylor to officiate.
