David Christopher Pedersen passed away peacefully on August 20, 2025, in Grand Rapids, Minnesota, at the age of 60.

David was born on August 5, 1965, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. After graduating high school in Grand Rapids, he went on to serve his country in the United States Navy as a Boatman's Mate, where he deepened his sense of duty and discipline. After his service, he pursued his education at Dunwoody College of Technology and Saint Paul College, which led to a career as a mechanical designer at 3M in Maplewood, Minnesota. He worked there with dedication and skill until health challenges required him to step away in 2007. He lived in the Maplewood and Saint Paul area until 2020, when he relocated to Grand Rapids, Minnesota.

David had a deep love of music—ranging from folk and blues to classic rock—and enjoyed his fair share of live events and home collections throughout his life. He cherished the quiet beauty of northern Minnesota, spending time watching wildlife around his Grand Rapids home. He was an avid follower of world affairs and politics and valued engaging conversation.

Above all, David was a proud and loving father to his daughters, Haley and Anna Pedersen, and loved spending time with them. He also found joy in his relationships with his neighbors, always ready with a story, a laugh, or a word of advice. His beloved cat, MJ, was a constant companion.

David is survived by his father, William Pedersen; his sister, Stephanie Pond; and his daughters, Haley and Anna Pedersen. He was preceded in death by his mother, Marylin Pedersen.

Interment and a Time of Remembrance to honor David's life will be held on September 16, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Glen Cary Lutheran Church Cemetery in Ham Lake, Minnesota. Family and friends are welcome to attend and celebrate the life of a man who was generous, kind-hearted, intelligent, and full of humor.

David will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His family takes comfort in knowing that he is now at peace.
