Dawn Marie Nichols, age 64, of Chisholm, MN, passed away Sunday, November 17, 2024, at Heritage Manor in Chisholm, MN.

Dawn was born in 1960 in Minneapolis, MN to Donald McManus and Geraldine "Jerri" Alger. As a young girl, she moved around often with her stepfather Les' military career. She married William Allen, and they moved to Redding, CA, where they were blessed with their children, Brandon and Misty. Dawn later married Mark Nichols and their son, William, was born. Dawn and William moved to Minnesota where she was a bartender in Hill City for 12 years. Dawn enjoyed traveling between California and Minnesota visiting family. She loved softball, volunteering with local charities, and reading, especially true crime. Those that knew her will remember her as being full of life and a mom to those around her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Don McManus, and Les and Jerri Harnois; brother, Greg McManus; aunt, Donna Alger Warren; and uncles, Don, Knute, Emmett, Duane, Ronald, Keith, Willy, Alvah, and Vernon Alger.

Dawn is survived by her daughter, Misty (Rory O'Brien) Gibeau; sons, Brandon Allen, and William Nichols; brothers, Jeff (Teressa) Harnois, and Jimmy Harnois; grandchildren, Jadon Watkins, Grady Gibeau, Lillie Allen, and Akai Nichols; nieces and nephews, Jeffrey, Justin, Ricky, Johnathan, Brittany and Avery Harnois; aunts, Lenore Gerber, Margaret Antell, Rosie (Danny) Olson, Deloris Alger; special cousin, Sandi Caverly; and many bonus children, including Mandy Kuehne, Josh (Sara) Ahonen, Val Hamilton, Susie Ellis, Joe (Julianne) Watkins, Shoona Arnold, Jasmine Otten, Shaun Wright, and Jess Wright.
