Devron was born in June of 1959 in Keokuk, IA to Lester and Lois Dame. He moved to Minneapolis in 1980 and began working at Dayton's in the cashier department. It was there he met and fell in love with his future wife, Laurie. They were married in May of 1984 and for the next 40 years shared a love and a life that they cherished every day.

He was hard-working and took great pride in helping people plan their most important occasions. He was a kind and wise mentor to the young employees he supervised. Devron deeply loved his personal family and his work families.
He enjoyed biking, dancing, hiking, fishing and especially loved the many cats and dogs he and Laurie considered their children over the years. He and Laurie loved to travel and entertain family and friends at their home on Horseshoe Lake. Devron was a black belt in Shotokan karate and enjoyed being an instructor to beginning students.
