Dianne Leko, age 82, of Grand Rapids, MN, passed away Friday, April 12, 2024 at Grand Village in Grand Rapids, MN.

Dianne was born in Pine City, MN on April 1, 1942. Dianne was a devoted wife and mother, working part-time while her son was young. Later in life, she decided she wanted to follow in her mother's footsteps as a teacher and she went back to school and earned her Bachelor's Degree in teaching from the University of South Alabama in 1992. Dianne was a dedicated teacher from 1993-2008 for special education and won teacher of the year award in Florida twice. She loved to stay active and also taught driver's education in Grand Rapids. Dianne loved the Lord and found enjoyment in reading. She possessed a remarkable ability to forge connections and leave a lasting impact on those around her, resulting in a network of cherished friends spanning the country.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Leko; parents, Robert (Jeanie) Haugen, and Dorothy Helgesen; two brothers; and one sister. Dianne is survived by her son, Robert (Brandy) Leko; two sisters; and six grandchildren.

A visitation will be Saturday, April 20, 2024, at 2 PM at Longville Bible Chapel in Longville, MN with a memorial service to follow at 3 PM. Rev. Jason Schafbuch will be officiating.
