Doreen Marie Roquet, age 86, of Cohasset, MN, passed away Thursday, December 18, 2025 at Home & Comfort Care in Coleraine, MN.
Born on June 4, 1939, in St. Paul, MN, to Hurschel and Margel Dorholt. She lived a life filled with love, laughter, and devotion to her family and faith. In the fourth grade, Doreen and family moved to Cohasset, where she met her husband, Jerry, in church. She graduated from Grand Rapids High School in 1957, and Itasca Community College in 1959, she also attended River Falls College. She married Jerry Roquet, on March 26, 1960. Together, they built a life rich with memories, laughter, and joy. Doreen was a dedicated Kitchen and Housekeeping Manager at Manor House, where her warmth and passion for nurturing others shone brightly.
Known for her exceptional cooking, Doreen made sure that no one ever went hungry at her home. Her family and friends gathered around her table, enjoying not only her delicious meals but also her great sense of humor and infectious spirit.Doreen's love of music, camping, and baseball was only rivaled by her love for her family. Her children were the light of her life, and she poured her heart into every moment spent with them. Throughout her life, her unwavering faith in Jesus guided her and inspired those around her.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brotherand sister-in-law, Don and Sheila Dorholt; sister-in-law, Mary Dorholt; and her grandmother, Masie Woodbury. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Jerry; children, Carrie (Jay) Gieseke, Jill (Michael) Sjoberg, Tami Roquet, Jeri Lyn (Richard) Lyons, and Paul (Misty) Roquet; sister, Donna (Don) Harthan; brothers, Denny Dorholt, and Darryl (Betty) Dorholt; grandchildren, Sara (Alex) Nordhagen, Katie (Cody) Nelson, Megan Sjoberg, Jon Roquet, Jennifer Roquet, and Christopher Sjoberg; and five great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held at Community Bible Chapel on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 beginning at 10:00 AM and lasting until the 11:00 AM memorial service. Burial will be at Wildwood Cemetery in Spring 2026.
