Earl Galloway Jr., 51, a loving husband, father, brother, friend, and cherished member of the Bovey community passed away Thursday, July 25, 2024, due to a short battle with cancer at the Emeralds in Grand Rapids, MN.
Born on February 11, 1973, in Chicago, Illinois. Earl Jr. was the beloved son of Earl Galloway Sr. and the late Darcella Galloway. He moved to Dayton, Ohio in August of 1973 and moved to Minnesota in 2007.
He married his loving wife, Tami, in a heartfelt ceremony at Veterans Memorial Park in Grand Rapids on September 9, 2017. In March 2019, Earl Jr. began a new chapter in his career at Sandstrom's in Grand Rapids, where he quickly became a valued member of the team. His positive attitude and hard work ethic left a lasting impact on all who knew him.
Earl Jr. found joy in simple pleasures such as flying drones and passionately cheering on his favorite football teams, the Minnesota Vikings and Ohio State Buckeyes. His dedication to his family and friends was unwavering, always putting their happiness above all else. Everyone who knew him would refer to him as "Uncle Earl."
Earl is preceded in death with his loving mother Darcella; grandmother Lillie; stepfather Olden; nephews: Davion, and Laquan; brother-in-law, Myrail; great-grandmother; grandfather; and great aunts.
To cherish is memory, his loving wife Tami Galloway; father Earl Galloway Sr.; daughters: Zamaria, Zariana, and McKaya; son Dallas (Shelby); sisters: Leta, Felicia, Genise, Ebonie, Natasha, Malisa (Tyrel) and Brandi; brother Tywann (Tatiana) and Navaughn; grandsons: Zýaire and Zaýmar; mother-in-law Pat; father-in-law Terry; aunt Nada (Lamar); uncle James (Regina); and great-aunt Evelyn; a host of loving nieces, nephews, and cousins; special friends: George Washburn, Casey Pfuhl, Donshay Mitchell, Ben Knee, and the late Brian Blanton.
Visitation will be held Friday, August 2, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Calvary Chapel Northwoods in Coleraine with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 12:00 PM. Rev. Wade Freshour officiating.
