Edna Myrtle Greniger, age 95, of Cohasset, MN passed away surrounded by her family on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at Sugar Brook Villa Assisted Living, Cohasset, MN.

Edna was born in 1929 to Emery and Beatrice Kempton in Park Rapids, MN where she grew up and attended school.  She was united in marriage to Edward "Bud" Greniger.  Edna was the matriarch of the family and will be missed by all who knew her.  She enjoyed gardening, raising chickens, and bird watching.

She is preceded in death by her parents; an infant daughter, Joyce Greniger; daughter, Delores Schumacher; sons, Michael and Mark Greniger; brother, Virgil Kempton; and sister, Dorothy Edminster.

Edna is survived by two daughters, Brenda Strey of Grand Rapids, MN and Donna (Jerry) Topper of Cohasset, MN; one son, Gary (Jan) Greniger of Cohasset, MN; one bonus son, Raymond Smothers of Cohasset, MN; one sister, Muriel Pomroy of Grand Rapids, MN; 23 grandchildren; 65 great grandchildren; 36 great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 beginning at 10:00 AM at St. Andrew's Lutheran Church, Grand Rapids, MN with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM at the church.  Rev. David Anderson will officiate.  Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery, Cohasset, MN.
