Elda Jessie Wittman age 75, of Boy River, MN, passed away peacefully February 18, 2023, at her home with her family at her side.

Elda was born in 1947 to William and Dorothy (Delaney) Leach, she grew up and graduated from high school in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan.  She met Lynn when their mutual friends asked them to join them on a date!  On June 24, 1967, Elda and Lynn were married.  They first lived in the Detroit, MI area, then in 1970 moved to Montevideo, Minnesota, where they raised their children, Jason  and Jennifer. When they retired in 2010, Elda and Lynn moved to Boy River, MN.  Elda loved her family, enjoyed crocheting, playing with her family pet cats, gardening and nurturing African violets.   Elda was a great baker; her chocolate chip cookies and fruit pies will always be treasured.

Elda is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Billie and Jack; and her sister, Eunice Kirby.

She will truly be missed by her husband of 55 years, Lynn; son, Jason Wittman; daughter, Jennifer Wittman (Zach Peterson); sister, June Russell and all her family and friends.

A memorial gathering is being planned for the spring.
