Gary Lee Miller, age 76, passed away on May 13, 2026, following a battle with cancer.

Born and raised in Northeast Iowa, he moved to Minneapolis where he met his wife, Shirley Ann Appel.  They moved to the woods near Pengilly, Minnesota in 1972.  In 1976 he started Miller Brothers Construction with his younger brother Mark. After 35 years of operating a successful building construction company he retired in 2011.  He loved sailing and working in his shop.

Gary is survived by his wife Shirley; three brothers, Mark (M'lou Brubaker) and Charles, both from Goodland, MN and John (Leta) from Dubuque Iowa and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of his life will be held at the Grand Rapids Eagle's Club on Monday, June 8, 2026, from 4-7 pm.
