Grand Rapids
Gerhard "Gary" Rosin, age 79, of Grand Rapids, MN died Saturday, June 22, 2024, at his home.
Gary was born July 18, 1944, to Clarence and Elsie (Muetz) Rosin in Fergus Falls, MN. Gary helped on the family farm and earned his chauffer license at a young age so that he could purchase a truck and deliver milk. He later earned his CDL license which would set him on the path of owning Rosin Transport. In 1965, Gary attended Western College of Auctioneering in Billings, Montana to become an auctioneer which became a second job and passion in life. Over the years, he auctioned everything from antiques, household goods, and farm equipment, to houses and farms including completing his last auction for his sister's charity just days before his passing.
Gary enjoyed eagle watching, card playing, deer hunting, restoring old John Deere tractors, collecting Snap-on tools, parts running, woodworking, politics, and drinking a LOT of coffee downtown with the boys. Gary was a hard worker who instilled his remarkable work ethic in his children. He will be remembered as a devoted Christian who had a love for God and showed people all around him the true love and grace of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
