GRACE ANNETTE GABRIELSEN , of Bemidji, Minnesota, formerly of Grand Rapids, passed away Thursday, June 1, 2023 at the age of 89.

Grace was born in Staten Island, NY to Gordon and Annette Olsen. She attended Concordia College where she met and married James "Jim" Gabrielsen. Grace was an avid sports spectator, following ICC athletics, the Vikings and Twins. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, knitting and raising her three daughters with Jim on the shores of Pokegama Lake. In 1991, they moved to a house on the 6th green at Sugarbrooke Golf Course. Since 1997, they have spent their winters in The Villages, Florida. Grace relocated to Bemidji following Jim's passing. She spent her remaining years at Windsong Apartments, where she found enjoyment in playing bingo.

Grace is preceded in death by her husband, Jim; parents; sisters in law, Lois Olsen, and Judy Olsen; son in law, Dave Brutlag.

She is survived by her daughters, Sue (Jeff) Wolfe, Norma (Randy) Frisk, and Nancy Brutlag; 6 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and brothers, Gerald and Bernie Olsen.

Memorials should be directed to Itasca Community College Foundation.

A visitation with refreshments will be at Rowe Funeral Home, Grand Rapids on Sunday, June 11, 2023 at 1:00 PM with a memorial service to follow at 2:00 PM. Interment will be at the Zion Lutheran Church Columbarium.
