Gregg "Mac" R. Makedonsky, age 69, of Cohasset, MN, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, September 28, 2023.

Gregg was born in 1954 to Steve and Pauline Makedonsky in Grand Rapids, MN. He grew up in the Grand Rapids area and attended the local schools. Gregg was a truck driver for various companies over his career. He enjoyed mechanics and tinkering with anything that had an engine. Gregg loved being outside, he was often the first one outside and the last one in. He was an all-around good guy, that was loved by his family and friends. Although Gregg had no children of his own, he often thought of his life partner's children as his own, helping to raise them.

Gregg is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his sister, Mary; his life partner of 26 years, Susan; and her children, Angela, Jennifer, Mary and Michelle Tangness; grandchildren, Natalie, Madison, Lylian, Joanne, Eleanor, and Iris; and many extended friends and family. Gregg will be greatly missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at the Deer River Veterans Club beginning at 1:00 PM. Burial will be at Donnelly Cemetery in Bowstring, MN at a later date.
