Jacob Gerard Poulin, age 49, of Grand Rapids, MN, passed away suddenly Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at his home.

Jacob was born March 25, 1975, in Fort Bragg, North Carolina.  He grew up on the East coast and graduated from Berlin High School in Berlin, New Hampshire.

Jacob was a gifted musician and chef.  His culinary journey began humbly as a dishwasher in Berlin, NH, but it wasn't long before his passion for food propelled him to becoming a chef.  He also enjoyed a vibrant music career, recording four albums with two different bands.  This dual passion for music and food has taken him on an incredible journey from cooking on the coast of Maine to the border of Tijuana.  In 2018 he moved to Grand Rapids, Minnesota. On July 30, 2022, his journey was enriched when he married his love Shelley Dagenais in Baraboo, Wisconsin.  Jacob and Shelley have continued to make their home in Grand Rapids.

Jacob lived his life with so much love and passion.  Not only for music and culinary arts, but a profound love for his family.

Jacob is survived by his wife Shelley; son Justice Poulin; stepson Devyn Kramer; 5 grandchildren Ava, Myra, Justice Jr., Hailey'Rae, Saddie; Dan (Chris) Poulin, Mercedes (Mike) Arezzo; sisters Jamie Koppes, Jefreja Poulin; brother Dylan McAuley.
