James P. Agan, age 63, of Grand Rapids, MN, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at Essentia Health-St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth, MN.

James was born in 1960 in Minneapolis, MN to Robert Sr. and Margaret Agan. He attended school in Minneapolis.  On October 13, 1980, he was united in marriage to Kathleen "Kathy" Theisen in Minneapolis, MN.  He worked as a gas station attendant and later at the Iron Foundry in Minneapolis. He later moved to Zimmerman, MN and then to the Grand Rapids area, where he found employment at a pallet company. Currently, James was employed at McDonald's in Grand Rapids, MN. In his free time, he enjoyed playing pool and fishing.

James was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Tina Fairbanks; brothers, Robert "Bobby" Agan, and Tim Agan; and a sister, Nancy Agan.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Kathy; son, David Theisen of Grand Rapids, MN; sister, Patty Agan of Burnsville, MN; brother, Mike (Risa) Agan of Champlin, MN; three grandchildren, Thomas Jr, Devin, and Xander; and four great-grandchildren, Thomas III, Chevy, Ahnilee, and Rowin.

A visitation will be held on Friday, January 19, 2024, beginning at 12 Noon at Hill City Baptist Church followed by a memorial service at 1 PM at the church. Rev. Lonnie Lee will officiate.
