James A. “Jim” Clough passed away on August 27, 2026, at the age of 74.

Jim was a loving father, brother, partner, and friend. His love for the outdoors began at an early age when his father, Charles “Buck” Clough, introduced him to hunting, fishing, and the beauty of nature during family time in Spooner, Wisconsin. Those early experiences became a lifelong passion for Jim.

Jim was an avid hunter and fisherman who cherished his time outdoors. Some of his greatest joys came from being in the woods or on the water, and he proudly passed that love and appreciation for the outdoors down to his children. The memories, adventures, and traditions he created with his family will continue to be treasured for generations to come.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Charles “Buck” and Joan Collette; and his brothers, Tim, Dave, and Dan.

He is survived by his brother, Mike Clough; his partner, Kathy Smith; and his ex-wife, Barb Homlund. He will be deeply missed by his children, Carrie Clough, Chad (Nikki) Clough, and Chawn (Michelle) Clough; his grandchildren, Brittany, Colemann, Tearra, Cora, and Payten; his seven great-grandchildren; and his many beloved nieces and nephews.

Jim leaves behind a lifetime of memories, stories, adventures, and a deep love for the outdoors that will live on through his family. From the time his father first introduced him to the outdoors in Spooner, Wisconsin, to the many adventures he later shared with his own children and grandchildren, Jim’s love of nature became part of his family’s story.

He will be remembered for the people he loved, the memories he created, and the traditions he passed down.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Clough/Homlund Cabin on Saturday, October 10, 2026 at 1:00pm . Family and friends are invited to come together to share memories, stories, and celebrate Jim’s life.

**An additional celebration will be planned in the cities for those who are unable to make it out of town. Time and date are to be determined.
