James Edward Nosan, 79, born 11/13/1944 passed away 11/12/2024 at his Grand Rapids home just hours short of his 80th birthday.

He is survived by his brother, Rick Nosan (Marie) of Pengilly; and his sister, Shelly Maki (Darrell) of Hibbing.  Also survived by his son, Daniel (Debra) of Cave Creek, AZ; and son, William (Becky) of St. Paul; and granddaughters, Kate and Abigail. Preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Molly Nosan of Buhl; and his beloved daughter, Kate.

Jim sincerely appreciated all the help and support of his friends and neighbors as he navigated through his recent health issues.  He loved his family and especially his faithful dog Meka.  Jim and Meka would volunteer their time at the local nursing homes visiting with the residents and providing helpful therapy.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to National Public Radio (NPR) or Minnesota Public Radio (MPR).  Private interment at Lakewood Cemetery in Minneapolis.
