Janice L. (Mostad) Sievert, age 91, of Grand Rapids, MN passed away Sunday, October 19, 2025, at Maple Woods Assisted Living.

Janice Lavern was born March 5, 1934, in Saum, Beltrami County, Minnesota to Edwin Winfred and Elna Marie (Nelson) Mostad.  She grew up in Saum, Minnesota and attended Kelliher School.

On November 27, 1965, Janice was united in marriage to Harold "Bud" Sievert. They raised their family and resided in Grand Rapids their entire married life.  Over the years she also worked for Northprint in Grand Rapids. Janice enjoyed many interests in her life including baking, playing cards, sewing, cribbage and reading just to name a few.  Together Janice and Bud explored flea markets and loved antiquing and traveling. She spent 25 wonderful years wintering in Yuma, Arizona. Following Bud's passing in 1997, Janice continued her love of travel throughout the US and many destinations around the world.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bud; brothers Edsel Mostad, David Mostad; sisters Arlene Mullens, Donna Esterly, Cheryl Bauer, Linda Bergen; son-in-law Rick Denzel. Janice is survived by her children Steven Sievert (Jackie), Sharon (Mike) Roseen, Mark Mostad, Shirley (Kirk) Snell, Marsha Denzel; 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; brother Dale (Kathy) Mostad;  sister Maureen (Julian)  Smischney.
