JEANNE M. ROY , age 73, of Grand Rapids, MN, passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at Essentia Health-St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth, MN.

Jeanne was born in 1943 to William and Josephine Yeshe in Hibbing, MN and graduated from Hibbing High School. Jeanne was united in marriage to Larry Roy on October 15, 1960 and they made their home in Grand Rapids, MN. She was employed with Arrowhead Transit as a dispatcher for many years. Jeanne and Larry enjoyed their winters in Florida for the last five years. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and enjoyed golfing and spending time with her family.

Preceding her in death were her parents.

Jeanne is survived by her husband of 56 years, Larry; daughter, Lynn (John) Acheson of Grand Rapids, MN; three sons, Tony Roy of Bloomington, MN, Brian (Denise) Roy of Coon Rapids, MN and Todd (Shelly) Roy of Andover, MN; three sisters, Barbara Brooks of Duluth, MN, Janet (Mark) Thune of Hibbing, MN and Julie (Kevin) Mattila of Duluth, MN; six grandchildren, Lauren Roy, Scott Roy, Zachary Roy, Aaron Roy, Jade (Nick) Schuler and Sydney Helmbrecht; one great-grandchild, Cohen Schuler; several nieces and nephews and the extended Roy family.

Visitation will be Friday, May 5 ^th from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Rowe Funeral Home in Grand Rapids, MN and will continue on Saturday, May 6 ^th at St. Joseph's Catholic Church from 9:30 AM until the 10:30 AM Mass of Christian Burial. Fr. Jerry Weiss will officiate. Burial will be in Itasca-Calvary Cemetery, Grand Rapids, MN.
