Jeffrey Kurt McKinney, age 43, of Grand Rapids MN, passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2024.

Jeff was born in St. Paul, MN on September 20, 1980 to Kurt and Marjorie (Card) McKinney. After both of his parents passed away in 1988 and 1990, Jeff went to live with his aunt, Penny Luoma. Jeff's journey led him to grade school in Grand Rapids and later to the Minnesota State Academy for the Deaf in Faribault, MN, where he embraced education and community.

For over two decades, Jeff dedicated himself to the Fair's activities building, where he shared his passion for quilts and contributed as a discerning judge.

In his leisure, Jeff found delight in bowling, fishing, and cherished moments with family, all while his computer remained a steadfast companion. His fondness for rummage sales was renowned, whether uncovering treasures for himself or supporting his aunts' endeavors. He found joy in orchestrating and participating in these gatherings.

Jeff is survived by his sister, Sara (David) Hale, nieces and nephews, Kelecia, Kaeliann, Bryson, and Brecken, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, Kurt and Marjorie.

Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 8, 2024 at Rowe Funeral Home, Grand Rapids, MN with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM. Private interment will take place at a later date.
