Jerry Joseph Julien, Sr., age 82, of Grand Rapids, MN, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at Grand Itasca Hospital, Grand Rapids, MN.

Jerry was born in 1943 in Grand Rapids, MN to James and Ann Julien.  He graduated from Grand Rapids High School and then attended Itasca Community College for industrial welding.  Jerry was united in marriage to Orianna "Randy" Pecka.   On July 16, 1983, Jerry was united in marriage to Elly Heath in Grand Rapids, MN.  Jerry worked for various organizations who provided adult foster care to individuals.  He loved fishing, playing cribbage, and taking care of his lawn.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Elly Julien; and a great grandson, Michael Julien.

Jerry is survived by his daughter, Rose (John) Thompson of Grand Rapids, MN; four sons, Jerry (Dorothy) Julien, Jr. of Bovey, MN, John Julien of Grand Rapids, MN, Josh Julien of Fargo, ND, and Jason (Shyla) Julien of Grand Rapids, MN; sister Julia Julien; brother, Jeff Julien of Grand Rapids, MN; significant other, Orianna "Randy" Pecka; 14 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Itasca-Calvary Cemetery, Grand Rapids, MN.  Pastor Chuck Davis will officiate.  Following the graveside service, there will be potluck luncheon from 1:30 PM until 6:00 PM at Veterans Memorial Park, Grand Rapids, MN.
