Joseph Albert Paulley, age 96, of Grand Rapids, MN passed away Sunday, December 10, 2023, at River Grand Assisted Living in Grand Rapids, MN.

Joe was born in 1927 to Joseph and Elsie (Padgett) Paulley in Hibbing, Minnesota.  Joe was married to Katherine Lowe on September 15, 1951 in Hill City, MN.

Joe served 2 years in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Japan.  Joe worked at Blandin Paper Company from 1947 to 1992.  He enjoyed flying - especially to the family cabin in Canada, hanging around the airport at his hanger, fishing, and spending time with family.

Joe is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Katherine; brothers, Jim and Tom Paulley; sister, Doris Persig. He is survived by sisters, Joyce Keppler and Elaine Paulley; daughters, Dianne (Greg) Lease and Nancy (Jim) Wilson; grandchildren, Mike (Kristen) Lease, Greg J. (Heather) Lease, Angie (Tony) Kellin, Jenny Bundermann, and Leslie Saylor; and great-grandchildren, Ellsie Lease, Emilia Lease, Layne Lease, and Duke Kellin.

The Paulley family would like to thank the staff of Moments Hospice and River Grand Assisted Living for the wonderful care to Joe.

Per Joe's request, no formal services will be held.
