Joyce Strom, age 89, of Goodland, MN, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at her home in Grand Rapids, MN.

Joyce was born on September 9, 1935 to Roy and Minnie. She grew up in the Grand Rapids area and graduated from Grand Rapids High School. After high school, Joyce married Dale Strom on April 18, 1954, and became an Air Force Wife, living throughout the country in Florida, Wisconsin, Idaho, Wyoming, and North Dakota. She loved the life of an Air Force Family.

In 1973, the couple returned to Goodland, Minnesota and finished raising their three children. Joyce worked a variety of jobs, but her favorite was being a travel agent for Rapid Travel. She was a gentle person that was nurturing, but not afraid to tell you the truth. Her family was everything to her and it showed in everything she did. She was extremely proud of her husband and his military career. Joyce enjoyed baking pies and cooking for her family, playing Yahtzee, cribbage, and bingo.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Pamela Strom; granddaughter, Kristine; and numerous siblings Joyce is survived by her son, Greg (Terry); daughter, Nancy Jo Prebeck; 14 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; sister, Darlene Schroeder; and her fur baby, Ella.

A visitation will be held at Goodland Community Church on Friday, February 21, 2025 in Goodland, Minnesota beginning at 10:00 AM followed by the 11:00 AM funeral service. The burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in Goodland. Rev. Zach McNeil will officiate.
