Judith Ann (Sandmoen) Stoltz, 84, of Grand Rapids, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2026.

Judy was born on July 6, 1942, in Grand Rapids, Minnesota, to Robert Sandmoen Sr. and Mildred (Jaeger) Austin.

On June 9, 1962, Judy married the love of her life, Gordon "Gordy" Stoltz Sr. Together they built a home centered on family, welcoming hearts, and lasting memories while raising their three sons.

Judy was a devoted homemaker who dedicated herself to caring for her family. After her children were grown, she enjoyed traveling the road with Gordy in his truck before later working at Gordy's Econo Foods.

Judy was known for making everyone feel at home. Her kitchen was always open to anyone (whether they were hungry or not), and many remember gathering around her table to enjoy her famous fried chicken. She had a generous spirit and loved welcoming family and friends into her home.

She was the kind of mom all of the other kids wished they had. Her house was often filled with children, laughter, and visitors. She always kept a special candy drawer for the kids, ensuring no one ever left empty-handed. Though small in stature, Judy had a spirited personality that those who knew her will never forget.

She also enjoyed spending Sundays at White Oak Casino, where she enjoyed the company as much as the games. She loved telling family and friends she was "up that week". Whether they believed her or not, this familiar saying reflected her playful spirit and optimistic outlook.

Judy is survived by her loving husband, Gordon "Gordy" Stoltz Sr.; two sons, Gregory "Greg" Stoltz (Frankie), and Gary Stoltz (Angie); her grandchildren, Jon Gordon Stoltz (Jessica), Jeremy Stoltz (Jessica), Samantha Stoltz, Justine Bowers (Jarod), Savanna Scherf (Brandon), Jesse Johnston (Rebekah), and William Johnston; 12 great-grandchildren; and many extended family members and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her Parents; one son, Gordon "Gordy" Stoltz Jr; two brothers, Robert Sandmoen Jr., and Ronald Sandmoen; and one sister, Lauren (Kristi) Key.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, August 30th, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Blackberry Town Hall and Community Center.

Judy's kindness, open door, and unwavering love for family will be remembered always. Her home was a place where everyone felt welcome, and her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched.
