Judy M. Myers, 80, of Grand Rapids, MN, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family in her home which was the next best place to Heaven on May 15th, 2026. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, friend and a woman whose creativity, hospitality, and warmth left lasting impressions on all who knew her.

Judy was born on June 19th, 1945, in Deer River, Minnesota to George and Alverna Anderson and lived a life rooted in family, hard work, and resilience. On May 8, 1965, she married the love of her life, Rex W. Myers, in Remer, MN. Together they shared 50 years of marriage and built not only a family, but a life defined by partnership, determination, and unwavering support for one another.

Throughout their marriage, Judy worked side by side with Rex in many ventures. Together they owned Myers' Liquor Store in Hudson, WI, built spec homes, and completed several land developments. They were blessed with three children before moving back north to Grand Rapids, MN in 1976, where Judy continued to support her family as Rex developed land and operated his excavating business.

Following Rex's auto accident in 1980, Judy's strength, loyalty, and devotion became especially evident as she stood faithfully by his side. Later, the couple purchased Deer River Wild Rice, and in retirement continued doing what they loved—building and creating—and developed Crystal Springs RV Park and Pokegama Storage in Grand Rapids.

Judy had a true knack for decorating and an unmatched talent for planning gatherings and celebrations. She loved to plan parties, plant flowers, and make every space beautiful and welcoming. She planned and decorated for countless weddings, each one thoughtfully and lovingly done. Her annual Fourth of July celebrations were legendary and will be fondly remembered by all who were lucky enough to attend.

She especially treasured time spent on Pokegama Lake, where she loved relaxing on the family houseboat with friends and family. These moments—laughing, visiting, and enjoying the water, good food and great drinks—were among her greatest joys.

Above all else, Judy cherished her dog Piper and her family (yes, in that order). She was a constant source of love and encouragement. She was lovingly known as "GiGi" to her great grandson Hudson, who adored spending time with her and held a very special place in her heart. Judy also shared a close and meaningful bond with many of her nieces and nephews, including the "Grands," and was often affectionately referred to as the favorite auntie.

Judy will always be remembered for her massive doll collection, a reflection of her eye for detail, sentimentality, and appreciation for beauty and nostalgia.

Judy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Rex W. Myers; her parents, George and Alverna Anderson; her twin brother, Jerry; her sister, JoAnne; and her parents-in-law, Charles and Ethel Myers.

Left to celebrate her memory are her children, Amy (Brad) Beier, Ronald (Jessica) Myers, and Angela (Brad) Olson; her cherished grandchildren, Jordan (Reed) Bender, Jenna (Kyle) Last and Adam Beier; her great grandsons, Hudson Bender, Dale and Layson Beier; her sisters, Barb (Jim Best), Joyce Walsh, and Janell (Truman) Stumo; and brothers, Jack, and Joe (JoAnne) Anderson; her extended family; and many friends whose lives were enriched by her kindness and creativity.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at 2:00pm at Harris Cemetery, Grand Rapids, MN. A celebration of Judy's life will continue at 3:30pm at CoHaus,
