Obituary

Keiko Stoeckig, longtime professor of Rowan University in Glassboro, NJ, died peacefully in Hospice on November 10, 2024, after a long illness.

Born in Japan in 1960, she was adopted by a navy couple, Charles and Ethel (Funk) Stoeckig. They later moved to Jacobson, MN. She graduated from Hill City High School in MN in 1978. In 1983, she received her BA degree in Psychology and Philosophy at Bemidji State College in MN, attended graduate school at Dartmouth in NH, and received a PhD in Experimental Psychology in 1998. She was hired as an assistant professor at Rowan University in NJ.

Keiko loved anything "Beatles" and Major League Baseball. She would travel long distances to watch her baseball!

Keiko is survived by her step-sister, Le Matts of Falcon Heights, MN; step-brother, Richard Hutchins (Panit) of Cass Lake, MN; and many cousins throughout the United States.

A memorial service will be at 2 PM, Saturday, September 20, 2025, at the family plot in Ball Bluff Cemetery, Jacobson, MN.
