Keith V. Lightfoot, age 95, passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at Deer Crest Senior Living, Red Wing, MN.
Keith was born December 8, 1930, in St. Paul, MN to Jim and Ruth Lightfoot. He graduated from St. Paul Central High School in 1948 and was united in marriage to Dona A. Johnson on August 9, 1952. He served in the United States Air Force as a staff sergeant.
He lived in White Bear Lake, Finlayson, Grand Rapids, Sequim Washington and most recently in Red Wing MN.
Keith worked as a manager in the engineering department at 3M Company. He was very active in all the churches he attended including the Finlayson United Methodist Church, Grand Rapids United Methodist Church and Trinity United Methodist Church in Sequim Washington. While living in Grand Rapids he was very active and involved with the Itasca County Habitat for Humanity program.
Keith enjoyed snowmobiling, fishing, working on his family ancestry and spending time with grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was always learning and always engaged in his church and community wherever he lived.
Keith is preceded in death by his wife Dona; parents; daughter, Beth Ann; and brother, Clinton Lightfoot. He is survived by sons, Jeffrey (Laurie) Lightfoot of Red Wing and James (Tammie) Lightfoot of College Grove TN; grandchildren, Kayla, Megan, Patrick, Erin, Cody and Dylan; and eight great grandchildren.
He now rests in God's eternal care.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the Itasca County Habitat for Humanity Program.
A memorial service will take place on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at 11:00 am at the United Methodist Church, Grand Rapids, MN with a visitation starting 1 hour prior. Burial will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN on Thursday, July 16, 2026 at 12:30pm.
