d. Aug 25, 2024
St. Paul
Kristoffer Marshall Anderson, 39, of St. Paul, MN and formerly of Jacobson, MN passed away unexpectedly on August 25, 2024, while doing what he loved - trout fishing.
Kristoffer was born February 8, 1985, to Marshall and Valerie Anderson in Grand Rapids. He attended schools in Hill City and Floodwood, graduating from Floodwood High School in 2003. He earned his masonry certificate in 2004 from Mesabi Range Technical College in Eveleth, and later completed the apprenticeship program to join the Boilermakers Union, Local 647 and was proud to become a Journeyman. Kristoffer was currently employed at Eide Machinery in Minneapolis as a welder.
From an early age Kristoffer was an avid lover of the outdoors, spending a great deal of his time hunting, snowboarding, 4-wheeling, hiking and fishing. His most recent love was fly fishing for trout. Kris spent much of his free time fly-tying and wading through trout streams. He took great pride in his mastery of casting and was an active member of Twin Cities Trout Unlimited. Kristoffer was also a talented welder, a dedicated uncle and a loyal friend. He will be forever missed.
Kristoffer is preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents. He is survived by his parents, Marshall and Valerie Anderson of Jacobson; brother Carey (Diane) Kowalski of Shakopee; sister Erin (Tom) Heinz of Oakdale; niece Aurelia and nephews Mark and Christopher Heinz, all of Oakdale.
The family will host a gathering of family and friends to celebrate Kristoffer's life, at a later date.
