Lauren Kristie Key, age 79, passed away Tuesday April 1, 2025, in the loving arms of her husband.

She was born June 16, 1945, to Robert and Mildred Sandmoen in Grand Rapids, Minnesota, the youngest of four children.

Kristie met the love of her life Robert Key, and they married November 26, 1965. Together they raised their two children and traveled their life's journey hand in hand side by side. Her husband and her family were the most important to her and she loved them all unconditionally and protected them fiercely. She will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Mildred; brother Bob; sister-in-law Shirley (Ron); in laws Robert and Lorena.

She is survived by her loving husband of almost 60 years Robert Key Sr. and her two children, son-in-law and her five precious grandchildren and one great grandson. Daughter Debra and Dennis Taylor and their sons Dylan and Dale; son Robert Key Jr and his children Elizabeth (Nick) and son Ben, Amy and Glen; sister Judith (Gordon) Stoltz; brother Ronald Sandmoen; sister-in-law Rojean (Bob) Sandmoen; sister-in-law Kathy Neighbors; brother-in-law Melvin Key; many nieces and nephews and other family members.

Per her wishes there will be no services held; interment will be at a later date.
