Leo Hilbert Hahn, age 76, of Grand Rapids, MN passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 22, 2026, at Renown Regional Hospital in Reno, NV.
Leo was born in 1949 in Grand Rapids, MN to Hilbert and Betty Hahn. He attended school in Cohasset, MN and later Grand Rapids, MN. On August 19, 1967, he was united in marriage to Cheryl Morency in Cohasset, MN. Leo was employed with the Cohasset Mill prior to going to work for the pipeline. After working for the pipeline, he began working for Jerry Hammann Trucking. In 1994, he started and owned his own trucking company, Leo Hahn Transport, working alongside with his son-in-law, Roger Klampe, for 31 years. Most recently, he was hauling for Moren Trucking. Leo loved fishing on Leech Lake and hunting in the Effie area. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles of Grand Rapids, MN.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Hilbert and Betty Hahn; one brother, Ray Hahn; and one sister, Barbara Hahn.
Leo is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Cheryl; two daughters, Julee (Dave Stallard) Thole of International Falls, MN, and Jodi (Roger) Klampe of Grand Rapids, MN; four sisters, Brenda Hahn of Sunbury, OH, Debbie (Kevin Sarja) Filipiak of Swan River, MN, Janet (Jim) Hoffman of Port Charlotte, FL, and Sandy Hattfield of Sunbury, OH; two brothers, George (Carmen) Hahn of Minong, WI and Kelly (Angie) Hahn of Indianapolis, IN; 5 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Friday, June 12, 2026, from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Rowe Funeral Home, Grand Rapids, MN. A graveside service will follow Friday, June 12, 2026, at 2:15 PM at Itasca-Calvary Cemetery, Grand Rapids, MN. Deacon Steve Schuler will officiate. Following the graveside service, a luncheon will be held at the Eagles Club. Everyone is welcome to come to the Klampe Residence, 14111 River Rd., Grand Rapids, MN following the luncheon to continue to share memories of Leo.
