Linnea Christine Crosby, 71, of Jacobson, MN, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 21st in St. Cloud, MN following an extended illness.

The youngest child of Clifford and Lila Anderson, Linnea was born August 25, 1954 in Grand Rapids.  She attended schools in Jacobson and Hill City, graduating in 1972.  Following graduation, Linnea briefly relocated to the Twin Cities and was employed by Western Electric.  In 1973, Linnea and Brian Crosby of St. Paul were united in marriage and together raised their son and daughter, Justin and Alison, on the family farm in Jacobson.

Linnea enjoyed a long career in customer service, managing the Riverside and Co-Op taverns in Jacobson before beginning a many-year position at Wal-Mart in Grand Rapids.  She took great pride in continuing her education by attending both Itasca Community College in Grand Rapids and Bemidji State University.  Later, Linnea became a successful gardener and accomplished cook, hosting numerous family dinners, holidays and birthday parties.  Her deep affection and care for family will be forever missed.

Linnea is preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Lila; husband, Brian in 1995; brother-in-law Ross; sister Toni; and nephew, Kristoffer Anderson.  She is survived by her children, Justin of Sauk Rapids, and Alison of Grand Rapids; sister-in-law Lyn Crosby; brother, Marshall (Valerie) Anderson; grandson, Brian (Anita); nieces Amy (Todd) Lewis, Rene (Paul) Cronquist, Erin (Thomas) Heinz, Eileen Crosby, and Amanda (Pat) Schaefer; nephews, Carey (Diane) Kowalski and Brent Crosby, and several great nieces and nephews.

The family will host a gathering of family and friends to celebrate Linnea's life at a later date.
