Loretta Keil Kemp passed away on Tuesday, June 30th 2026 at Majestic Pines Senior Living in Grand Rapids, MN at the age 83.

She was born on July 12th, 1942 to Frank and Veronica (Dotzler) Keil. She attended high school in Aitkin, MN and graduated from the University of Minnesota Duluth with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.  Loretta worked at MPM Plastics Company in Frederic, WI for 26 years in her role as Office Manager.

Loretta will be remembered for her practical perspective, her kindness and thoughtfulness, and for her devotion to family.

Loretta was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Veronica; her husband, Lars; siblings, Wallace (Audry) Keil, Milton (Renalda) Keil, Francis (Dorothy) Keil, and Ralph Keil; niece and nephew, Sandy Keil and Randy Keil; and her great-great grandson, Dale Harju.

She is survived by her son, Dale (Lorraine) Kemp; daughters, Linda (Bruce) Anderson, Kathleen (Matthew) Ropponen, Rebecca Kemp, and Kari (Jason) Ritter; and sister-in-law Karen.

She is also survived by grandchildren, Jared (Julie), Mary (Brady), Luther (Stephanie), Jason (Kristin), Brent (Susan), Janna (Adam), Michelle, Abby (Seth), Julianne (Robbi), Hillary (Jason),  Quin (Madison), Mara (Taylor), Rhys, Amber (Sam), Valerie (Derrick), Levi (Jenna), Jacob (Janica), and Harris; her nieces and nephews, Jenifer, Jeff, Kim, Jan, and Jim; and many treasured great- and great-great grandchildren, and a host of brothers and sisters in faith.

Services for Loretta will be held on Friday, July 3rd, 2026 at the Independent Apostolic Lutheran Church in Deer River, MN. Visitation is at 1pm with funeral services starting at 2pm. Burial in the Lindenwood Cemetery and refreshments will follow the service.
