Lori Jean Salisbury, 65, of Grand Rapids, MN, passed away at Essentia Hospital in Duluth, MN, on August 23, 2026, surrounded by family.

She was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother and friend, and her presence will be deeply missed.

Lori was born on November 22, 1960, in Taconite, MN. She married Nathan Salisbury of Grand Rapids on February 12, 1982.

Lori loved speding time in her yard tending to flowers and gardening.

She had a passion for Walleye fishing. Nothing put a smile on her face like hooking a big 'eye on Lake of the Woods.

Above all, Lori loved spending quality time with her five grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband Nate, daughter Ashley (Levi) Christiansen, son Derek Salisbury and girlfriend Jess; brothers Dave (Bonnie) Shafer, Bill Shafer, Joe (Donna) Shafer, sister Beth Mandich; five grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family and so many special friends.

Lori was preceded in death by her parents Jim Shafer and Marcie Davis, and her brother Jim Shafer.

She was simply the best!
