Madaline Anne Frost, age 30, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2026, after a courageous battle with Huntington's disease.

Born a whopping 9 pounds, 14 ounces on July 17, 1995 (much to her mother's surprise), Maddy was a beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin, and friend whose beautiful spirit touched everyone in her life. She had a big smile, an even bigger heart, and a witty, if not sometimes delightfully sarcastic, sense of humor that could bring a smile to your face even if you didn't want it to. She was tenderhearted, intelligent, creative, and fiercely loyal to the people she loved.

To be loved by Maddy was to be loved wholeheartedly. Even on her most difficult days, when frustration with Huntington's disease sometimes got the better of her, she never wanted those she loved to question her heart. She would always reach out afterward to make sure they knew she loved them and never truly meant any harm. That kindness and self-awareness remained part of who she was throughout her life.

In the final months of her life, Maddy, Rachel, and Aaron were given the opportunity to spend precious time together as a family. Years that had included challenges gave way to deeper understanding, healing, and love. Though Huntington's disease brought unimaginable heartbreak, it also gave them the gift of time together. Time to strengthen their bonds (including introducing Dad to Channing Tatum "dance" movies), create new memories (so many Dairy Queen Blizzards), and remind one another how deeply they loved and were loved. Those months will remain among their most treasured memories.

Following the loss of her biological father at age four, Maddy was blessed by the constant love of her grandmother, Mavis Frost, and her Uncle Scott and Aunt Kathy. They were a source of strength, understanding, laughter, and support throughout her life, helping to fill a void no family ever wishes to face. The bond they shared with Maddy was profound, and she carried their love with her always.

Maddy was also a fiercely devoted older sister. Like many siblings, she and her brother Max had their share of memorable disagreements growing up, stories that were hilariously retold with varying accounts depending on the teller. Over time, their relationship grew into a deep friendship built on love, trust, and understanding, and they were not only siblings but the best of friends.

From the moment her sister Ava was born, Maddy adored her. She was fiercely protective, endlessly supportive, and took great pride in being Ava's big sister and all of Ava's accomplishments. Ava looked up to Maddy with glowing admiration and love, and the bond they shared was one of the greatest joys of Maddy's life.

Maddy treasured her friendships and the people who became family along the way. She especially loved her "Superhero Crew," a close-knit group bound together by their shared love of anime, theater, laughter, and adventure. As the self-appointed Batman of the group, Maddy embraced every opportunity for fun and cherished the memories they created together.

Among those closest to her was Dalton Lammers, whose steadfast friendship remained a constant source of comfort and joy throughout her life. In her final months, Dalton spent hours by her side bringing flowers, watching movies, sharing memories, and enduring the good-natured teasing that Maddy so loved to dish out. Their bond was built on friendship, love, and a deep appreciation for one another.

Maddy found joy in the simple things that made life special. She loved movies, music, theme parks, and spending time on the boat on Lake Minnetonka. Seeming to have been born part water sprite, she loved oceans, lakes, and any other body of water meant for swimming in. Her favorite animals were naturally dolphins and manatees, and one of her favorite memories was spending a vacation in Florida watching them swim through the canals.

A true foodie, Maddy especially loved Asian cuisine, with orange chicken ranking among her favorites. She never turned down her mom's chicken enchiladas, and anyone who knew her knew how much she loved sweets. Every year she looked forward to her mom making "her" chocolate espresso birthday cake. No substitutions or imposter cakes allowed.

Maddy was artistic and talented, with a passion for skincare, beauty, and makeup. She successfully completed her cosmetology training and licensing before earning her esthetician license. She took pride in helping others feel confident and beautiful and enjoyed expressing her creativity through her work.

Maddy was preceded in death by her father, Thomas "Tommy" Frost; her grandfathers, Tom Frost Sr., Jerry "Pops" Kroeger, and Garry Neururer.

She is survived by her parents, Aaron and Rachel Neururer; her siblings, Max Frost and Ava Neururer; her grandmothers, Mavis Frost, Kris Kroeger, and Michele Bradway; her aunt and uncle, Scott and Kathleen Frost; her uncle, Chris Frost; her aunt, Nissa Manley; her Uncle Mike Pelmulder; her cousins, Elizabeth Lang, Amanda Frost, Marley Neururer, Tommy Manley, and Julia Manley; her dearest friends, Dalton Lammers and Sydney Summers; and many extended family members and friends who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.

There are never enough words for parents to describe what their child means to them, and that is especially true of our Maddy. She brought laughter, worry, pride, frustration, joy, and immeasurable love into our lives. Being Maddy's mom and dad has been one of the greatest privileges of our lives. There will always be the pain of losing her, but it will never outweigh our gratitude to God for giving us the opportunity to love her and to be loved by her.

Our family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate caregivers and staff of Birchview Gardens Assisted Living in Walker, Minnesota and St. Croix Hospice for the exceptional care, comfort, dignity, and kindness they provided to Maddy and our family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to organizations dedicated to supporting those affected by Huntington's disease and advancing research toward a cure, including the Huntington's Disease Society of America (HDSA), the Huntington's Disease Foundation, and St. Croix Hospice.

While Huntington's disease became part of Maddy's journey, it never became her identity. It may have shortened her life, but it never diminished her spirit, her humor, her kindness, or her capacity to love. Those are the things her family and friends will carry with them always.

To be loved by Maddy was to be loved fiercely, loyally, and genuinely. That love remains her gift to all of us.

A Celebration of Maddy's Life will be held from 12 Noon to 4:00 PM, Saturday July 18th, 2026 at the home of Scott & Kathy Frost - 122 Broadway Avenue N., Wayzata, MN 55391
