Maria A. Lindell, age 69, of Grand Rapids, MN, passed away Monday, July 17, 2023, at Essentia Medical Center, St. Mary's in Duluth.

Maria was born in 1953 to John and Nicoletta Pavcovich in Foggia, Italy. In 1956, she, her parents, and four siblings immigrated to Duluth, where she was raised. She attended high school in West Duluth, graduating from Morgan Park. After high school Maria moved to the cities, where she had a variety of jobs. She met Randy Lindell when his sister Robin introduced them, they were married on May 8, 1982. Together the couple moved to Grand Rapids and raised their family.

Maria ran a successful travel business out of her home, while taking care of her family. She attended Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Cohasset, loved to travel to various casinos and sporting events, garden, enjoyed political drama, and was not afraid to speak her mind (If you know, you know). To know her was to love her, was often what the family said. She loved her family passionately and was very influential in the lives of her grandchildren. Maria was generous to a fault, loved Jesus, and dining out with her family and friends.

Maria is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Randy; infant son, Matthew; sisters, Ann and Lisa; brother, Steve; and father-in-law, Robert Lindell.  She is survived by her daughter, Lisa; son, David (Sparkel Jacox); granddaughters, Hannah and Lucy Pierce; sisters, Rosa (Rick) Noffsigner; brothers, Vincent and Joseph (Mary) Pavcovich; mother-in-law, Marylew Lindell; brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert (Nancy) Lindell, Robin (Virgil) Bakken, Tammie (Bob) Jackson, Wendy (Scott) Chelberg, and Eric (Michelle) Lindell.

A visitation will be held at Rowe Funeral Home on Friday, July 21 beginning at 12:00 PM, followed by the graveside service at 1:00 PM at Itasca Calvary cemetery. Rev. Mark Peske will officiate.
