Marilyn K. Isaac, age 72, of Grand Rapids, MN, passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at River Grand Assisted Living, Grand Rapids, MN.

Marilyn Isaac, was born in St. Croix Falls, WI, in 1951, the daughter of Lloyd and Violet (Jensen) Isaac. After college graduation, Marilyn accepted her first full-time job with the City of Grand Rapids working in the Parks and Recreation Dept.  She eventually became the director of the department for many years before shifting to providing IT services for the city until her retirement.

Marilyn loved and served others all her life. She loved her family deeply, served her community faithfully, and loved Jesus fully. Her passion was her beautiful lake home that she built with the help of countless friends and family. She created a quiet, peaceful life that restored her soul each day. Most early mornings Marilyn could be found sitting on her deck with a cup of coffee watching the beautiful colors of the sunrise. Marilyn touched the lives of many people and left them better for it. She is deeply missed.

Marilyn is survived by her sister, Patricia (Michael) Nordeen; sister, Penny (Craig) Nelson; nephew, Jeff (Ann) Nordeen; niece, Krista (Jason) Pifer; great nieces and nephews, Evan Nordeen, Zachary Pifer, Lilly Pifer, Rosey Pifer; and countless dear friends near and far.

The family is planning a Celebration of Life service at Grand Rapids Evangelical Free Church on June 6, 2024. Time to be determined this coming summer.
