Marjorie Seeley Vohler, age 97, passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at Grand Itasca Clinic and Hospital in Grand Rapids, MN.

Marjorie was born in 1926 to Lumie and Gladys Braford in International Falls, MN. She was raised in the International Falls and Wirt areas. When she was 16 years old, she was engaged to Harvey Seeley and they married on October 28, 1942. Together they had six children and raised them on their Warba farm. Marjorie made bread all of her life and was known as the Apple Pie Queen. Every Thanksgiving she hosted the family get together, where every year she made 17 pies. She enjoyed quilt making, she was noted for making at least 17 quilts every winter, and gardening. After the children grew up, she worked as a janitor for ISD 318 for 15 years. Marjorie picked wild blueberries every year, only stopping after 100 quarts were picked. She had two big gardens she attended also. After 53 years of marriage, Harvey passed away in 1997. Marjorie reconnected with her first boyfriend, James Vohler and later married in June of 1998.

Marjorie is preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; brothers, Charles and Curtis; and one son, Lucas. She is survived by her daughters, Beverly (Perry) Jarva, and Rita Heaser; sons, Harvey Jr (Evie) Seeley, Steve (Linda) Seeley, and Roger Seeley; sisters, Ruth (Richard) Shoemaker, and Doris Guyer; brother, Loren (Karen) Braford; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2023 beginning at 2:00 PM at the Warba Community Center.
