Matthew Louis Reigel, age 35, of Bigfork, MN, died unexpectedly on Sunday, September 3, 2023, as a result of a car accident, Taconite, MN.

Matt was born in 1988 in Bigfork, MN to Darrell and Stephanie (Danielson) Reigel. He attended schools in the area, graduating from Grand Rapids High School. He later attended vo-tech college in Bemidji, MN and was interested in veterinarian school in Minneapolis. Matt worked as a general laborer, most recently at Rajala Lumber Mill in Bigfork and Deer River.

Matt loved animals, working on cars, and being in nature, but mostly loved being with his family and friends.

Matt is preceded in death by his mother; uncles; and grandmother.

He is survived by his father, Darrell (Kristee) Reigel of Bovey; girlfriend, Amber Johnston; children, McKayla Bixby and Kagan Reigel; sisters, Angie (Brent) Winger, Chloe Foster; brothers, Eli Gravelle, Stefan Gravelle, Ryan Reigel, Joe (Shawna) Reigel, Nathan Reigel; and numerous other family members.

A celebration of life will be held at 1 pm, Sunday, September 17, 2023, at Trout Lake Community Center, 24951 Community Center Road, Bovey, MN.
